The Sak was founded in 1989 in San Fransico, CA. It began with a single unique handbag, and it took America by storm. The bag was a hobo crochet style. The immediate success of this bag prompted the founders, Mark Talucci and Todd Elliott, to create a line of accessories. The Sak handbags are known for their Tightweave, the signature fabric. Although the company is quite young, The Sak brand are the fourth largest handbag company in the USA today. The Sak has several lines that include, leather, suede, canvas, straw, crochet, knit, and even wood beads.
