This is a Balenciaga 2007 (Season 1) Anthracite Giant Gold Hardware City. The leather is chevre (goat). This is the most coveted leather for Bal lovers! Authenticity is guaranteed. You can take a look at some of my closed auctions to see some of the other Balenciagas that I have sold in the past. You can go to purseforum.com, and you can ask the kind authenticators there to authenticate the bag for you. I have included photos of all of the identifiers that they will need to authenticate.Now to what is included with this twiggy: One big white Balenciaga card. Balenciaga white card with the season, type of leather, etc. Balenciaga dust bag. I think this is the original dust bag for the bag, but it may have been switched between some of my other Balenciagas. Removable strap Mirror Physical description of the bag: The leather has been treated with some type of conditioner. I'm not sure if it is the LMB products, Apple, or what. The leather is very soft, and it feels quite nice. It has a "moister" feel than my other Balenciagas. The previous owner also treated the handles, and the handles, while tight, have that "moist" feel. Corners have some slight rubbing on them. Still in great condition. All of my Balenciaga bags are in storage containers now. They are not being displayed. I like to say that my bags are sleeping, and they are resting comfortably in storage containers, in their dustbags, stored safely away for a while. When I put this bag away, I must not have put the strap down straight, and I saw that there are wrinkles on the strap. Please see the photos that I took showing the wrinkles on the strap. Anthracite color is one of my favorite Bal colors - it is a classic! I have taken photos today outside in natural light. Cloudy day. The last four photos, the sun came out - pretty rare in Cincinnati this time of the year. Remember, this is a used bag, and it is not a mint, new condition bag. Balenciaga Leather Balenciaga leather is a most peculiar and wonderful leather. There are no Balenciaga bags with identical leather. All leather is unique, and the characteristics of leather used by Balenciaga are revealed due to the special tanning and retanning techniques that Balenciaga uses. I'd like to share with you a statement on one of the Balenciaga care cards that was included when I purchased a Bal bag: "The article made of this leather has been produced using traditional methods. The unique tanning and chrome retanning techniques, and use of special oils, give the material an exceedingly soft and silky feel. Any irregularities are natural characteristics of the leather and should not be considered imperfections. This leather has a completely natural finish; as a result, it may have a low resistance to abrasions and scratches, low resistance to light, particularly for light colours, and may lose colour through wear. These characteristics should not be considered defects but as fundamental aspects guaranteeing the quality of a 100% natural product. Another characteristic of this leather is the cracking, which is created in an intentionally irregular way to give the article a unique "vintage" look. To protect its natural softness, the leather has not received any waterproofing. Therefore, you must protect the article from rain and dry it immediately with a cloth whenever it gets wet. Your love for the article while living it in all its naturalness makes it unique, authentic and personal. BALENCIAGA personnel are always at your disposal should you require further information or assistance." O.K., put simply, what that means is that each bag is unique! It means that you can't drag your Balenciaga around roughly, nor can you leave it sitting in the sun for long periods. Of course you can wear the bag in the sun and do normal things, but Balenciaga bags are not meant to be placed on a bleacher for long hours while you watch your child play in sporting events. The leather is not waterproofed, but I have been caught out in the rain many times, and while dashing to my car, my bag has never been damaged. (BTW, I own over 100 Balenciaga bags, and I'm talking about other bags - this bag has never been in the rain.) But when you get to your car/home/wherever, gently dry your bag off with a clean, dry cloth. Also, don't set your bag down on any surface where there may be liquid or any other kind of residue as the leather can absorb harmful liquids. Return Policy: I do not accept returns.
